Srinagar: Western Digital, a global technology leader, unveiled its updated “Mobile ki Pendrive” range nationwide on Wednesday.
The launch took place in Kashmir, featuring the new “Mobile chi Pendrive” under the acclaimed SanDisk brand, catering to diverse storage needs.
The event took place at a top hotel situated on the banks of the picturesque Dal Lake.
The Mobile Ki Pendrive offers up to 1TB capacity and up to 400MB/s transfer speeds (128GB-1TB models)
“We are pleased to launch this mega-product from Kashmir. There can’t be a better place than this to launch this product,” said Khalid Wani, Senior Director of Sales for India at Western Digital.
Speaking exclusively to Precious Kashmir, Wani said, “Content creators in Kashmir are doing a great job, and you would be surprised to know that some of them are earning in lakhs by providing great content across platforms.”
“I recently visited one of the top online Digital Gaming Companies, where I was introduced to a youngster who had reached the semi-final in one of the online gaming tournaments. The youngster, whom I won’t name here, belongs to Kashmir. The CEO of that company told me that there are some great gamers from Kashmir, and they are earning a huge amount of money,” he said.
Wani noted that times have changed, and the digital world offers enormous opportunities where people earn crores of money.
“We are in touch with some top social media content creators, and our company, Western Digital, has extended all possible help in various ways of technical support,” he added.
Wani emphasized that Western Digital is available for every Kashmiri content creator and would be available for all possible help.
“The product that we have launched today in India is of great use to YouTubers and other social-media content creators,” he added.
He further said smartphones have transformed almost every individual into a content creator.
