Police host training on new criminal laws, NDPS Act

Srinagar, Mar 01: Police in Pulwama Friday organized a comprehensive five-day crash course on the new criminal laws at DPL Pulwama.

The course was initiated with the aim of equipping officers with essential understanding of the recently promulgated laws by the Central Government.

Additionally, Police in Sopore organized a day-long training program regarding the NDPS Act for investigating officers.

The inauguration of the course was attended by DySP DAR Majid Ali, SDPO Litter Nisar Ahmad, and Inspector Taseer Ahmad, who delivered inaugural lectures.

During the session, officers emphasized understanding the theme behind the new criminal laws with a view to the significant changes.

Meanwhile, in Sopore, a day-long training program regarding the NDPS Act for investigating officers was organized, with SP SoporeDivya D, DySP DAR Sopore, SHOs/DOs, and Investigating Officers from PD Sopore participating.

The training program aimed to familiarize officers with the latest techniques and standard practices to expedite investigations and improve convictions in NDPS cases.

On the occasion, Superintendent, NCB Jammu Raj Kumar Shaw, presented a detailed presentation on various aspects of the NDPS Act and related laws and procedures. He provided a detailed briefing on the NDPS Act, PIT NDPS, Financial Investigations, etc.
