Srinagar, February 29: Cracking a whip on illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police Thursday have seized 4 vehicles and arrested 4 drivers in Baramulla.
Police party under the supervision of DySPHqrsBaramulla assisted by Incharge PP Delina seized 03 vehicles (Tractors) & arrested 3 drivers involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at DelinaGhat.
The accused drivers have been identified as Nisar Ahmad Bhat son of MohdRamzan resident of DelinaKralpora, Farooq Ahmad Tantray son of GhMohd resident of DelinaRawthpora& Danish Maqbool son of MohdMaqboolSofi resident of Juhama.
Moreover, police party under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg assisted by SHO PS Kunzer, seized a vehicle (Tipper) & arrested driver namely Abdul Qayoom Khan son of MohdRamzan resident of Haji Baag District Budgam involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at DhobiwanKunzer.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations and further investigation have been initiated.
