Srinagar, Feb 8: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone V.K Birdi and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir V.K Bidhuri on Thursday co-chaired a video-conference meeting of Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Kashmir division.
The meeting was held to review the arrangements in respect of minority clusters and other critical areas in wake of recent developments.
“All the participants briefed about elaborative security measures taken in this regard. They briefed that security measures in these clusters are reviewed and stand beefed up to ensure a secure environment”, reads a statement issued.
While making concluding remarks Div Com Kashmir, as per the statement, stressed upon the participants that there shall be every effort by magistracy along with Police to ensure a secure and congenial environment.
IGP Kashmir in his concluding remarks impressed the participants to remain ever vigilant alongwith their security force counterpart and constantly review the arrangements to refine the responses and devise in-genuine ways to prevent such attempts.
The meeting besides the DC’s & SSPs was attended by DIGs of all the ranges, SSP PCR Kashmir, SP South City Srinagar, SP Cargo.
