New Delhi: Defence Secretary GiridharAramane Wednesday addressed the cadets at the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp, highlighting their role as inspirations for the country’s youth.
Encouraging excellence and nation-building, he emphasized that the NCC’s philosophy shapes young minds into responsible citizens.
Expressing the need to expand the NCC’s reach, Aramane aimed to motivate more youth to join the largest uniformed youth organization, underscoring the potential benefits it offers.
Urging youngsters to aspire for greatness, he emphasized the role of the NCC in channeling youthful energy towards constructive goals.
GiridharAramane emphasized the importance of proper education and constructive tasks for the youth to prevent involvement in antisocial activities. He identified NCC cadets as potential inspirations for achieving these objectives.
During his visit, the Defence Secretary witnessed a captivating Cultural Programme, showcasing India’s cultural diversity through group dances and ballets. Themes ranged from Unity in Diversity to scientific temperament and economic progress.
Exploring the ‘Flag Area,’ prepared by 17 NCC Directorates, ShriAramane observed social awareness schemes depicted through sand models. He received briefings on various NCC cadet projects, including initiatives focused on ‘Waste to Wealth.’
