Chief of Army Staff visits NCC R-Day camp

New Delhi:  Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Pande, Tuesday visited the NCC Republic Day Camp 2024 at the DGNCC Camp. He was accompanied by Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, AVSM, VSM, DGNCC, who received him upon arrival.

The Chief of Army Staff commenced his visit with a review of an impressive ‘Guard of Honour’ presented by well-turned-out cadets from all three Wings of NCC – Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Following this, an outstanding band display by NCC cadets from Scindia School captivated the audience.  The COAS then explored the ‘Flag Area,’ where NCC cadets showcased social awareness themes and cultural activities, providing detailed briefings on their respective State Directorate themes.

Subsequently, General Pande visited the ‘Hall of Fame,’ housing a rich archival collection of alumni photographs, models, and motivational items from the three NCC wings.

The Chief of Army Staff, joined by distinguished guests, enjoyed a spectacular ‘Cultural Programme’ presented by talented NCC cadets in the auditorium.

Expressing delight in the achievements of former NCC cadets who have risen to high positions in the Government and Armed Forces, the COAS motivated the cadets to take leadership roles in various professions, emphasizing their potential impact beyond the Armed Forces.

He urged them to be exemplary role models for the nation’s youth and highlighted NCC’s significant contributions to national building activities, including social service schemes such as Blood Donation Camps, Environmental Conservation, and Puneet Sagar Abhiyan.

Applauding the cadets for their impeccable turnout, impressive ‘Guard of Honour,’ and captivating cultural program, General Manoj Pande motivated them to believe in themselves, cultivate determination, and move forward with firm resolve. He extended his best wishes for success in all their future endeavors.
