3 held for carrying weapons in Pulwama

Srinagar: Joint forces Tuesday arrested three persons who were carrying two pistols and other war-like weapons in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Army said that the operation was initiated based on specific intelligence inputs provided by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Panzu and Gamiraj areas of Pulwama.

In a social media post on platform X (formerly twitter) Chinar Corps of the Indian Army which stated, “Based on specific intelligence inputs, a Joint Cordon & Search Operation (CASO) was launched by #IndianArmy & JmuKmrPolice at Panzu & Gamiraj in Pulwama on 25 Dec 23.”

It further read, “Three suspected individuals have been apprehended with recovery of 02xPistol and other war-like stores.” The post also mentioned that joint interrogation of the suspects is in progress with Jammu and Kashmir Police.
