Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and his Advisor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar Sunday greeted the people on the eve of Christmas.
In a message the Lt Governor said, “On the joyous occasion of Christmas, I extend my greetings to all, especially the Christian brothers and sisters.
The sacred festival of Christmas, which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, is a special occasion to spread joy, happiness and to follow his ideals of love, service, self-sacrifice, compassion and forgiveness. May the Christmas this year usher in peace, happiness and joy for all”.
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar also extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
In his message, Advisor Bhatnagar remarked that Christmas is a special opportunity to spread joy, share happiness and spirit of brotherhood.
Recognizing the significance of Christmas in fostering unity and goodwill, the Advisor emphasized the importance of coming together to celebrate the spirit of giving and compassion on this cheerful occasion.
“As we gather with our loved ones and reflect on the year gone by, let us cherish the moments of joy, appreciate the bonds that bring us closer, and extend a helping hand to those in need,” said Advisor Bhatnagar.
Meanwhile, DGP R R Swain Sunday extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the people of J&K, the Police and Security personnel, and the families of the martyrs.
“This special season calls for the joyous celebration of peace and prosperity. Let us wholeheartedly embrace the true essence of Christmas—cultivating a spirit of goodwill, kindness, unity, and extending a compassionate helping hand to those in need within our community,” he expressed.
The Christmas greetings continued: “As we gather to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, may the virtues of love and forgiveness radiate, guiding us towards a year filled with harmony and abundance. Wishing bountiful blessings of peace and prosperity to the resilient and spirited people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
