During his address, Rd Kashmir urged brick kilns and stone crushers to embrace eco-friendly technology for achieving sustainable development.
The Chief Guest, Regional Director, Social Forestry, shared insights on citizen responsibility in maintaining a clean environment, emphasizing the urgency to curb the blind use of technology.
Shabir Ahmad, in charge of the Water Lab, provided crucial information about the condition of water bodies in the Kashmir region and the factors contributing to their state.
The event included the screening of a documentary on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, followed by a solemn 2-minute silence observed by all participants.
Mohd Shafi Parra, owner of a Hot Mix plant, and the Dy Director of Information also addressed the audience, stressing the moral duty of every citizen to preserve a clean environment.
