Srinagar: The body of a mentally unsound person was recovered on Sunday in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official told a local news gathering agency that a male body was found at River Jhelum in Sumbal by locals, who later informed the police.

The official identified the body as Mohd Sultan, a resident of Arin Bandipora.
After conducting the legal-medico formalities, the body was later handed over to legal heirs for last rites, he said.
The family said the deceased was mentally unsound and was missing since from October 26. (Agencies)
