Srinagar: Civil Defence Srinagar and Ahsan Foundation J&K Wednesday distributed refreshments and masks among mourners, besides providing medical aids on 7th Muharram at Kathi Darwaza here.
According to the details, volunteers associated with Civil Defence and Ahsan Foundation performed their duties in the Shia-populated areas of Srinagar on 7th Muharram.
Civil Defence Srinagar under the leadership of Rahi Riyaz, Divisional Warden C D Srinagar has been conducting medical aid camps for the past several days and distributed Syrup, Juice, water bottles and masks among the mourners in Shia-populated areas.
Many such camps were held at other places. Rahi thanked the volunteers associated with Civil Defence and Ahsan Foundation, saying that these volunteers had been rendering their services since the 1st of Muharram.
He further added that there are many volunteers attached to Civil Defence Srinagar who are always ready for social work.
