Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura along with ex-MLA Anjum Fazli held a mega workers meeting in Habba Kadal on Tuesday.
Besides Hanjura and Fazli; Abdul Hameed Kohsheen, District President Abdul Qayoom Bhat, Addl Spokesperson Abdul Rauf Bhat, Mohit Bhan, M Altaf Ahmad, Bilal Ahmed, Fayaz Reshi, Mohd Shafi Kundangar were also present on the occasion.
The meeting was organised by PDP constituency Incharge Habba Kadal, Arif Laigaroo.
Addressing the gathering, Hanjura, said that PDP will do every possible thing to serve aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir and they are committed to raise the voice of people, and assured that party will not let down the people.
Hanjura further expressed gratitude to the party workers at the grassroots level who have stood firm with the party and its struggle despite the pressures. “The workers are the real strength of the party and PDP shall stand firm to represent their aspirations,” he added.
Hanjura during the meeting asked the workers to make preparations for PDP foundation day, which will be held on 31 July at Sheri Kashmir Park.
Speaking to the gathering Arif Laigaroo urged the people to come forward to strengthen the party and have organised campaign against social evils that included drug abuse in the society.
Laigaroo urged them to keep tab on youth in their respective area and work for betterment of society. He expressed anguish over prevailing circumstances in Kashmir and prayed for return of long lasting peace.
