Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will convene a high-level meeting to review arrangements for Muharram on Monday, a local news agency KNS reported.
Quoting sources it said that the decision whether to allow Muharram processions will also be taken in the meeting.
LG Sinha will chair the high-level meeting on Monday at Civil Secretariat Srinagar at around 11 am, sources said.
They said that top officials of civil and police administration including Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Principal Secretaries of several department, ADGP Security J&K ADGP Kashmir and other officers will attend the meeting.
“A decision whether to allow Muharram processions is also likely to be taken in the meeting,” they said.
Meanwhile, sources said that the administration has also invited All J&K Shia Association president Imran Reza Ansari, Anjuman Sharie Shian president Aga Syed Hassan and Anjuman Sharie Shian Darul Mustafa president Aga Syed Haadi for the meeting. (KNS)
