Srinagar: Renowned badminton player Saina Nehwal has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the J&K government and the local community for their “exceptional support” during her Amarnath Yatra.
Nehwal, known for her remarkable achievements in the sport, embarked on the holy pilgrimage with her family and described it as a “momentous experience filled with blessings and communal assistance”.
“The yatra has been an incredible journey for my family and me. We feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to participate in this spiritual endeavor,” she said while talking to the media persons.
Saina took a break from her badminton commitments to immerse herself in the religious expedition, and she was captivated by the “unwavering support” received from the government and the local people throughout the yatra.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the government and the wonderful people here for their immense help and assistance. Their dedication and selflessness made this journey even more special for us,” she said, adding, “The government’s robust arrangements and meticulous planning for the Amarnath Yatra ensured the safety and convenience of all participants. Stringent security measures, well-equipped medical facilities, and well-maintained infrastructure were put in place to cater to the needs of the pilgrims.”
Meanwhile, the Badminton star while sharing the journey through a video message said, “This is a great day for my family and me. We are blessed to have been on the yatra. I would like to thank the government and people here for helping us so much”—(KNO)
