Focus shifts towards improving education system, providing equal opportunities to students

Srinagar: The government recently announced that all schools in Jammu and Kashmir will be provided with minimum assured facilities by March 2024.
According to the officials this move aims to ensure that every child has access to quality education and a conducive learning environment, regardless of their socio-economic background.
An official said, “The government is focusing on improving the education system and providing equal opportunities for all students. The initiative will cover both government and private schools across the region, with a special emphasis on remote areas where educational facilities are often lacking.”
“Under this plan,” he said, “Schools will receive basic amenities such as electricity, clean drinking water, sanitation, and proper infrastructure. The government will also focus on improving the quality of education by providing additional resources and training for teachers.”
“Through this initiative, the government aims to bridge the gaps in educational facilities and ensure that every student has access to a quality education. This will not only enhance their individual growth but also contribute to the overall development of the region,” the official added.
He said, “The government has allocated a significant budget to ensure that every school in J&K gets minimum assured facilities. The focus is on improving the infrastructure,  providing necessary equipment, and upgrading the facilities in schools across the region.”
A parent while talking to Precious Kashmir said, “Minimum assured facilities will create a conducive environment for learning and help students fully realize their potential. It is heartening to see the government’s commitment towards the education of our children. This move will significantly improve the learning experience for our children and empower them for a better future.”
Educational experts said, “The decision to provide minimum assured facilities has the potential to transform the education landscape in Jammu and Kashmir. It will not only benefit individual students but also contribute to the socio-economic growth of the region.”
The government, according to the officials, is committed to overcoming the obstacles and ensuring the timely completion of this initiative. “This objective can be achieved through the support of parents and the wider community,” they added.
“Another factor that the government is focusing on is to bring the drop out ratio to a minimal level. The Education Department is working hard to ensure that the dropout rate drops down to a minimal value among all grades, so that the department can achieve Sustainable Development Goal, by 2030 as per National Education Policy, 2020,” the official added.
Pertinently, in the recently held enrollment drive more than 130000 students across Jammu and Kashmir were enrolled. “The drive evoked a massive response from the people and it was appreciated by one and all,” the official added.
