PDP holds workers meeting at Zaldagar, Habba Kadal

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and  constuiency incharge Habba Kadal Arif Laigaroo along with Rehana Parvez corporator ward 46  Islam Yarbal on Sunday held a meeting at Zaldagar with the people of area in Habba Kadal and deliberated upon several issues.
The meeting was organised by Numan Zargar, a statement issued here reads.
During the meeting, various issues to strengthen the party and upcoming Muncipal elections were discussed and prevailing circumstances were center of the meeting.
Laigaroo during the meeting asked the workers to make preparations for PDP foundation day, which will be held on 29 July  at Sheri Kashmir Park.
Laigroo while talking to residents said, “Most of the people in Habba Kadal are hand to mouth earners. The situation is so dire that after the installation of smart meters, people in Habba Kadal would either have no electricity or no food to eat.”
Laigroo urged J&K administration to reconsider its move of installing smart electricity meters and provide relief to people.
The PDP asked the people to strengthen the party and have organised a campaign against social evils that included drug abuse in society.  Laigaroo urged them to keep tabs on youth in their respective areas and work for betterment of society.
He expressed anguish over prevailing circumstances in Kashmir and prayed for return of long lasting peace. Those who participated in the meeting include Zonal President Sameer ul jameel, Vice Zonal President Fayaz Rah, Younis Najar, Aman Zargar, Shaista Mir, Numan Zargar, Mohd Yaseen, Faisal Jan, Umar and others.
