The Prime Minister lauded their transformative work, which has successfully turned the region from a milk deficit area to a milk surplus district.
During the monthly radio broadcast, which reaches millions of listeners across the nation, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the remarkable achievements of these young entrepreneurs, emphasizing their dedication, hard work, and commitment to transforming the agricultural landscape of their region.
An observer while talking to Precious Kashmir said, “Forward-thinking approach of the young entrepreneurs and their ability to leverage technology and innovation to tackle long-standing issues deserves appreciation and kudos.”
He said, “Through the adoption of advanced milking techniques, superior cattle management practices, and eco-friendly waste disposal systems, new dairy units have not only increased milk production but also significantly improved the quality of dairy products.”
Pertinently, Baramulla District has traditionally faced challenges in meeting its dairy demands due to limited resources and infrastructure. However, driven by a vision to empower their community and create sustainable livelihoods, a group of young individuals took the initiative to establish modern dairy units that prioritize efficiency, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability.
“These young entrepreneurs have not only set a remarkable example for others but have also made a significant contribution to agricultural sector. Their efforts in transforming Baramulla from a milk deficit district to a milk surplus one are truly commendable. They have shown that with determination and dedication, one can achieve great milestones even in the face of adversity.”
The success story of Baramulla’s dairy industry serves as an inspiration not only to the local community but to the entire Jammu and Kashmir. It showcases the immense potential that lies within youth and their ability to drive positive change in their respective communities.
The Prime Minister described Baramulla’s success in dairy sector as a milestone and hailed the district for producing around 5.5 liters of milk daily.
“Young minds getting empowered and channelizing their energies in a positive manner is good news for Kashmir. It’s an indication that youth want to move ahead and become an example for others. Their efforts are paying off,” said an observer.
