Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ex-state secretary youth and Habba Kadal constituency Incharge, Arif Laigaroo on Tuesday expressed concern over the prolonged power outages in Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, Laigaroo said, “Over the past fortnight, most parts of the Kashmir division have been receiving electricity supply for a few hours only on regular basis that too in intervals ranging between 15 minutes and half an hour.”
The rising temperature and the unscheduled power cuts in several parts of Kashmir province have affected residents badly. “Those who can afford generators or inverters are depending upon them, while others, who form a majority, have no other option but to bear the scorching weather,” he said.
He added that the administration’s attitude has compounded the predicaments of people in wake of the power crisis in Kashmir.
