Srinagar: During the past few years Kashmir Power Development Corporation (KPDCL) has been putting in strenuous efforts to provide 24×7 electricity to its consumers.
The KPDCL is moving towards achieving the milestone and it appears in the in coming months it may finally overcome the challenges it’s facing.
“Completion of many ambitious projects during the past few years have marked a significant turning point in Kashmir’s journey towards progress and development. Once the goal of providing uninterrupted power supply is achieved region can unleash its true potential and bolster various sectors, including industry, education, healthcare, and tourism,” said an official.
He said, “The arduous task of ensuring continuous electricity supply involves the construction and upgradation of power plants, transmission lines, and distribution networks across Kashmir. The project is facing several challenges, including rugged terrains, adverse weather conditions, and logistical hurdles. However, the government’s steadfast commitment and determination, coupled with the relentless efforts of engineers and workers are taking the KPDCL towards the successful completion of this monumental endeavor.”
“Benefits of reliable electricity are multifaceted and far-reaching. The industrial sector, which had long suffered due to power shortages, can expect to witness a surge in productivity and growth. Manufacturers and entrepreneurs can now operate their businesses with confidence, attracting investments and generating employment opportunities for the local population,” the official added.
“The educational landscape of Jammu and Kashmir is set to undergo a transformation as well. Schools and colleges will now have access to uninterrupted power, enabling them to enhance the quality of education through technology-enabled classrooms, e-learning platforms, and improved infrastructure. This will empower students and teachers alike, opening up new avenues for learning and academic excellence,” he said, adding, “The healthcare sector will also reap substantial benefits from the availability of continuous electricity. Hospitals and medical facilities will be better equipped to provide quality healthcare services, including advanced diagnostics, surgical procedures, and emergency care. This development is expected to improve the overall healthcare outcomes and contribute to the well-being of the people.”
