TAAI-J&K Chapter organizes 4th bimonthly meet in Sgr

Srinagar: Travel Agent Association of India (TAAI)—J&K chapter conducted its fourth bimonthly meeting on Friday in Srinagar at Hotel Robusta Retreat—The Lakeside Villa.

Secretary Tourism, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah and Bahram P. Zadeh (Managing Committee Member, & Chairman of Membership Council, Travel Agent Association of India) were among the special invitees for the occasion.

While addressing the members of the association, Secretary Tourism said that TAAI is one of the oldest and apex travel and tourism associations of the country.

He said that department of tourism is working on promoting new destinations in Kashmir and local travel agent have a great role to play in promoting these destinations.

He said that the department of tourism is planning to participate in different travel and tourism marts in the country and said that the same will be organised in a better manner to get maximum results.

Bahram P. Zadeh emphasized on promoting responsible tourism in the Valley and also said that necessary steps should be taken by the government & stakeholders in building carrying capacity of various destination of the valley to ensure sustainability of Kashmir Tourism.

Ather Yameen Narwari (Chairman – TAAI J&K Chapter) Sameer Baktoo (Honorary Secretary – TAAI J&K Chapter) Irshad Hazari (Honorary Treasure- TAAI J&K Chapter) and some of the leading travel and tourism players of the valley where present in the meeting.
