Srinagar: Nehru Yuva Kendra Srinagar Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India organized Mission Life, Lifestyle for Environment awareness generation programme with collaboration of Ahsan Foundation J&K at Holy Faith Public School Sozaith Srinagar.
The program started with an awareness speech delivered by Rahi Riyaz Ahmed Chairman Ahsan Foundation J&K who briefed the participants including the students, faculty members and officials of the Institute about the importance of celebrating this day.
He discussed the theme of this year i.e. “Promotion of Millets in Diet” which focused on living sustainably in harmony with nature.
Rahi said that to organise such programs aims to share ideas, knowledge and experiences which will encourage the stakeholder for the collective transformative environmental action for our ‘ Promotion of Millets in Diet’. Need was to highlight key issues that could contribute to protecting our environment and to discuss the importance of a safe and healthy environment.
Khazir Nadeem, Nadeem Rasheed, Shagufta Majeed and Irshad Ahmad Teli special invitees on the occasion, gave special speeches on the human impact on the environment and the need to live sustainably.
On the occasion a debate competition was also held on the importance of the environment. At the end awards were distributed among the position holders.
