Army organizes ‘Sahi Raasta’ at Haiderbeig, Pattan

Srinagar: Reinforcing the underlying idea of the programme “Humsaaya Hain Hum”, a reunion of Sahi Raasta (Youth Development programme) candidates was organised at Haiderbeig (Pattan) on Friday, to re-engage with these candidates and evaluate on their future endeavour in order to assist them.

The programme mentors and senior officials from J&K Police & District administration interacted with these candidates. The event witnessed various friendly sports matches coupled with a medical health checkup camp for candidates and their parents, defense  spokesman said.

Lt Gen ADS Aujla, GOC Chinar Corps also visited Haiderbeig and interacted with the candidates and their parents. During the address, the Chinar Corps Commander, emphasised the importance of role of youth in shaping the future of Kashmir and urged the participants to be part of the change they want to witness in the environment.

He assured the participants for all possible support from the Security Forces in their future endeavours.

The candidates and their parents were exhorted and expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing the special event for them. One of the candidate’s shared “This will help in bringing youth closer to the Indian Army and other Security Forces building positive connect that lacked all along due to various societal apprehensions by the population”.
