Social activist, journalist Arshad Dijoo meets DC Srinagar, raises public issues

Srinagar: Social activist & journalist Arshad Dijoo today met Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Aijaz Assad in his office chamber here.

Raising many pertinent social and environmental issues the DC gave a patient hearing to all issues raised and promised resolution.

The DC further said that he is open to all the public feedback as it helps him improve the efficacy of administration. He said if there is no public feedback it will ruin the impact of good governance and “we might find ourselves in a deep vaccum ” he explained.

“If we don’t receive any grievances and feedback we may find ourselves lost. Therefore we are thankful that public grievances are brought to our attention” Assad elaborated.

He said in fact we should be thankful to those who communicate to us and make us aware of relevant public issues.

The DC assured Dijoo that certain issues raised by him were under process for resolution. He said public good is of utmost importance to him.

He also assured that the Sanat Nagar Park exercise equipment repairment and replacement case is under process as the report submitted by the Floriculture department is under consideration.
