PDP holds meeting in Habba Kadal, greets people on Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and constituency Incharge Habba Kadal, Arif Laigaroo on Thursday chaired a meeting of workers in Karfali Mohalla. He also greeted the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The meeting attended by large numbers of workers deliberated upon the issue of coming Municipal Elections, a statement issued here reads.

Laigaroo urged the workers to work hard so that they can be winners in any future elections. During the meeting problems faced by the residents were also discussed threadbare.

He asked the people to strengthen the party and have organized campaigns against social evils that included drug abuse in society.

Laigaroo urged people to keep a tab on youth in their respective area and work for betterment of society. He expressed anguish over prevailing circumstances in Kashmir and prayed for return of long lasting peace.

The PDP leader also distributed kits among the needy people of area in view of Eid.

Those who attended the meeting were zone president Sameer-ul -Jameel vice zone president Fayaz Rah, Tasaduk Ahmed and others.

Praying for peace and prosperity in the State, Laigaroo in his message said “The spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr is to express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fasting in the month of Ramzan and rededicate ourselves to the path of truthfulness, sincerity, self-control, patience and human dignity”.

He extended his warmest greetings to the people of the State and prayed this auspicious occasion becomes a new harbinger for peace and amity in the State. He also hoped that this auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood.
