Around Rs 7 lakh recovered from norm violators in last 4 months: FCS&CA

Srinagar: Amid the complaints about overpricing of essentials, the government has recovered a fine of over Rs 6,91,950 from the norm violators across Kashmir in the past four months.

According to the data, Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) has inspected 9328 shops and sealed several among them.

The market checking squads of the department have also realized a fine of over Rs 6,91,950 in the last four months. The data revealed that Rs 6,91,950 have been realized from norm violators across the Valley  while Rs 1,91,900 has been recovered in Srinagar alone and the rest of the fine has been realized from norm violators in Baramulla, Bandipora, Bugdam, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag.
