Micro plastic surgery procedure conducted at SDH Pampore

Srinagar: A micro plastic surgery procedure was on Friday conducted successfully at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Pampore.

A 24-year- old young male presented to Sub District Hospital Pampore with amputation of right index and middle finger due to crush injury by bike chain, a statement issued here reads.

“The amputated parts were severely crushed and not bought along and to preserve the length of fingers, the fingers were reconstructed by digital artery and nerve based neurovascular flaps, elevated under magnification.”

This is a super micro plastic surgery procedure done to give a sensate and glabrous skin cover to fingertips and was done by Dr Abid Saleem Plastic surgeon, Dr Sharief, Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Ulfat and Ab Hamid, anaesthetist and Nisar Ahmad OT technologist, the statement said.
