DC Sgr takes schemes wise review of RDD sector

Asks officers to lay thrust on different verticals under Phase-2 of SBM

Srinagar: In order to review the progress of developmental works being implemented under the Rural Development sector in the District, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad here at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.

Among others the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, District Mineral Officer, Executive Engineer REW, Executive Engineer Irrigation & Flood Control, Block Development Officers of Srinagar, Khonmoh, Harwan and Qammarwari, District Programme Officer, NRLM and other concerned.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of different schemes being executed under the RDD sector in all Panchayat Blocks of Srinagar District.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Officers to prioritize implementation of all Government sponsored schemes so that targets are achieved in time with tangible results on the ground so that people are benefited with these schemes. He directed the implementation agencies to redouble their efforts to ensure cent percent saturation of all the deliverables under the programme in all Panchayats in all 4 blocks of the District.

Earlier, the DC was given firsthand appraisal about physical/ financial status of MGNREGA, components of Swachh Bharat Mission, Area Development Plan, status on construction of Panchayat Ghar, status on the newly proposed works and works executed under PMKKY.

The progress on preparation of ADP plan for the year 2023-24 was also discussed in threadbare.

While reviewing the Status of MGNREGA works, the DC was informed that against the total 227 works taken up during the current financial year as many as 215 works have been completed so far.
