Srinagar: A student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar, Aaminah Irfan has bagged silver medal in junior girls (65 kg weight category) at 28th National Junior Thang Ta Championship, held at Indoor stadium, Khuman, Imphal, Manipur from 1st to 3rd December 2022.
Aaminah ended up the runner-up in a closely fought bout for gold losing by 10-12. 488 Athletes from 21 states participated in the National championship.
Other participants from the school: Areeba Shah, Naira Khan, and Ayla Parvaiz also put up commendable performances in the championship.
Congratulating the medalist and participants, Principal Shafaq Afshan said, “Our legacy of excellence continues to burnish stronger with every medal, every participation and every event. Congratulations to all.”
