Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir All Alliance Democratic Party (JKAADP) on Thursday held a convention at the party head office here at Harco Lane in Rajbagh, Srinagar.
The convention was presided over by JKAADP’s Chief Patron Navneet Mishra while State President Raquib-ul-Rashid and General Secretary Dr. Zahoor Qaidiri were also present.
On the occasion, the senior leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), who resigned enmasse, joined the party today along with their supporters.
The new entrants of the party belong to Shopian, Ananatnag, Pulwama, Kulgam & Ganderbal districts, the statement said.
More than 6500 prominent senior leaders and their supporters parted ways with AAP after observing the party’s anti-J&K and anti-people policies.
The new entrants took oath in the ceremony and promised to strengthen the party in their respective areas and for expansion, implementation of people friendly & J&K friendly policies of the JKAADP at the gross root level.
The new entrants in the party fold include Nasir Kochak, Rais ul Haq, G. N. Nishati, Fida Hussain, Sajad Rasheed, Ajaz u Rehman, Fayaz Bajad and Shabir Sagar.
