Recently Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta launched an Online Human Resource Management scheme for the employees working for J&K Government.
The scheme has been launched with a purpose to provide equal treatment to all the employees in terms of their career progression, timely filing of monthly performance reports, Property Returns and Annual Performance Reports.
The online management of the government employees is yet another step towards making them accountable and resolving their issues.
It’s yet another achievement of the government in continuation of IT Initiatives like Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW), Online Property Return System (PRS), Vigilance Clearance System (VCS), Employees Monitoring Portal (EPM) and Employees Verification System (EVS) launched for facilitation and disposal of HRM issues of employees.
Since the day Manoj Sinha has taken over as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir he has emphasized on the need to make the system transparent and vibrant. He has laid special focus on ending the obsolete mechanisms and putting new methods in place. During the past two years most government offices in Jammu and Kashmir have been connected through the online mode and the old file system has been replaced by the online system.
The introduction of the online Human Resource Management System (HRMS) can go a long way in easing various procedures for the government employees. The HRMS will save them from running from one office to another to get their issues resolved. They can now easily register their grievances online and get these redressed. All their records will now be visible to the higher ups just on a click.
The HRMS has made every employee visible. The Head of Departments can easily view their profile and recommend their cases. The ones whose promotions are due won’t need any recommendations as the new system has made things easy.
The General Administration Department and the IT wing of the J&K Government deserves all the appreciation from coming with the HRMS which has made the records of more than 5 lakh government employees accessible on one click.
The HRMS has become a ‘one- stop solution’ for addressing issues related to service records of employees in electronic form, and it will resolve many issues which till the recent past used to be Herculean tasks for the government employees.
