4 new industrial estates to come up in J&K soon: Union MoS

Says new industrial policy aimed at providing employment to youth at rapid pace

Ganderbal: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Commerce and Industry, Anupriya Patel on Wednesday said that four new industrial estates will come up in Jammu and Kashmir with an aim to ensure employment to the youth in the Union Territory.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function, Patel said that under the new industrial policy announced for J&K, four industrial estates will come up in the UT shortly.

“We are trying our best to ensure more and more industrial development here as we have set a massive target for the employment of the youth in Jammu and Kashmir,” she said, adding that the central government has provided every possible support in this regard.

She also said that the unit allotment for the new industrial estates and applications have been received, adding that the work is going and the units will be allotted soon.

“The motive behind the new industrial policy is to ensure employment at a rapid pace so that the youth here would get employment and we would be able to see a changing Jammu and Kashmir shortly,” she said. (KNO)
