During the past few years, many players from Jammu and Kashmir have made it to the international arena and represented India in different events.
The J&K youth are coming forward and are proving their mettle in every field. It was in 2013 when Danish secured a Gold medal in the official State Taekwondo Championship and qualified for Junior National held at Puducherry after that he never looked back and continued his winning streak in this Olympic Sport. Now, he is aiming to represent India in the Olympic Games.
J&K youth shining like stars has been lauded by one and all as they have made their compatriots proud. They have proven beyond doubt that if they get equal opportunities and chances they can compete with anyone.
It’s not only sports in which the J&K youth have got recognition. They have emerged as stars even in academics. Last month a young boy from South Kashmir’s Shopian district, Haziq Parvez Lone, secured 10th   All India rank in NEET examination. His success was appreciated by one and all. Many youngsters who are preparing for NEET exams were encouraged by his feat. Haziq has emerged as a role model and inspiration for the youngsters of his age.
Shah Faesal by topping the IAS examinations had set a trend. After his success many youngsters followed his footsteps and cracked the highest administrative exams in the country.
J&K youth are setting examples and are sending a clear message that they can compete with anyone and they are as good as others. One hopes that they keep on getting the opportunities and the chances so that they keep on shining and keep on making J&K proud. It appears that J&K’s generation-next is all set to write a new chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
