Srinagar: Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Police on Monday conducted raids at a number of places in militancy related cases in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
SIU Kulgam today conducted raids at two locations of residential houses of two accused persons at Village Bumrath who are allegedly involved in killing of a school teacher Rajni Bala at Gopalpora, a police statement said.
Rajni Bala from Jammu was shot dead outside her workplace, Government High School, Gopalpora, in Kulgam district on May 31, 2022.
During searches, the SIU collected incriminating material & important information including bank accounts, digital devices etc, ..Proper SOPs were followed during search operation, they added.
It is pertinent to mention that both the accused persons are presently detained in Central jail Kotbalwal Jammu. Searches were conducted to collect more evidences of their involvement in other cases, Police added. (KNO)
