Barbeque seller’s son qualifies NEET

Pattan: A young NEET qualifier from Pattan in north Kashmir is all praise for the Almighty for blessing him with success.

The 20-year-old Mehrajudin Khan son of Gulshan Ahmad Khan hailing from a humble economic background was lending help to his father in selling sizzling barbeque before becoming talk of the town for his feat.

He secured 591 points out of 720 and got the 10th rank in the all-India level NEET UG-examination in his first attempt.

Gulshan Ahmad, feeling elated at the achievement of his hardworking son, credits his son for working hard. “Our entire family is proud of him as he has given us so much happiness by his hard work,” he said.

“Our phones haven’t stopped ringing since my result,” said Mehrajudin, adding “this happened by the grace of Allah”.

“Apart from helping my father in the barbeque shop, I always focused on my studies. I always believed that one day I will be successful and I will make my parents proud,” said Mehraj, who was not taking tuition classes. He said that students should work hard to achieve their goals.  “I am thankful to all including my teachers, my parents for helping me,” he said.

Mehraj’s mother, Haseena Begum says that she is proud of her son’s success and praised those who helped her son. (KNO)
