Jammu: With an aim to tighten the noose against the mafia, the Jammu and Kashmir administration will soon launch an e-potral to facilitate a smooth purchase of mining material.
“The administration will launch an e-portal to make construction (mining) material available online across the Union Territory with a motive to tighten the noose against the mining mafia and to curb corruption,” official sources said.
The portal will be launched by the Geology and Mining Department.
“There is zero tolerance for corruption through the successful implementation of e-Governance models,” Amit Sharma, Secretary, Mining Department said.
He said that districts-wise names of all license holders in the trade with the rate list will be made available on the portal.
“The will be a major initiative to bring transparency in the working of the Mining Department and also to make hassle-free supply of construction material to the people,” Sharma said.
He also cleared about the online functioning of this unique G2B2C portal which is first-of-its-kind in the nation through which QR-coded fool proof e-challans to all relevant vendors shall be issued through integration of payment gateways for online charging of royalty fees and other dues. (UNI)
