Jammu: One police personnel suffered injuries when a search party was attacked by the members of a particular community in Lakhanpur area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.
However, one accused was also arrested, police said on Sunday.
“We fired air gun shots in self-defence during tense operation to arrest an alleged bovine smuggler last night at Chak Gota in Lakhanpur,” the police said.
They said that one constable received minor injuries, adding, “One accused has also been arrested while a case was registered against four unknown persons.” (UNI)
