Jammu: The Wrestling Association of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday elected its new office bearers for the term of next four years in its Annual General Body Meeting held here at Amar Singh Club.
As per official communiqué, Jagdish Kumar from Wrestling Federation of India, Ashok Singh from J&K Sports Council and Kuldeep Singh Jamwal from J&K Olympic Association acted as observers.
Basu Dev from Wrestling Club Baspur R S Pura was elected as president and Ajay Vaid as senior vice president.
Kuldeep Sharma from District Wrestling Association Reasi was elected as Vice-President, while Jai Bharat as honorary general secretary and Swaran Lal from Dewan Mandir Akhara was elected as Joint Secretary besides Om Parkash from Wrestling Club Akhnoor has been elected as honorary treasurer.
All the new office bearers were elected unanimously by the house.
Former President Wrestling Association of J&K Dushyant Sharma congratulated all the new office bearers and wished that they will work with full zeal and dedication for the upliftment of Wrestling in J&K UT. (UNI)
