Action will be taken based on report of inquiry,” government said in a tweet, adding, “If no irregularities are found, process will be taken up further. If irregularities are found, strict action will follow.”

Meanwhile, the selected aspirants held protest for the fifth consecutive day on Monday.

The aspirants said that they appeared in the examination in March this year and were declared meritorious. “The authorities are mulling scrapping the entire process which will be unjust as we have studied for years to get selected.”

JKSSB had advertised over 900 posts of financial accounts assistants in J&K. The examination for the posts was held in March 2022 and by April the merit list was out. The aspirants allege that authorities are mulling scrapping the whole process putting future of hundreds of meritorious candidates at stake. (GNS)
