Ensure all facilities on Eid: KCCI to Govt

Srinagar: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I) Saturday impressed upon the Jammu and Kashmir administration to ramp up efforts to ensure all facilities for people on Eid-ul-Adha.

The largest trade body urged the administration to ensure the availability of essential commodities in the markets. As there are many opportunists who fleece common man, KCCC&I urged administration to check black marketing, overcharging, and profiteering by the shopkeepers so that common man is saved from exploitation.

According to spokesperson, President, Sheikh Ashiq also demanded an uninterrupted power and potable drinking water supply to the people across Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion.

President and Secretary General KCC&I also stressed that administration should ensure proper sanitation across J&K keeping in view erratic weather conditions. It also urged the authorities to ensure the availability of public transport to facilitate hassle-free movement of the people to major congregational places on the day of Eid-ul- Adha.
