Srinagar: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh was presented a book titled “Untold Stories of the Exodus” by the author of the book Pran Pandit SP (retired) at Jammu on Tuesday.
DGP J&K congratulated the author and wished him good luck for future assignments.
Written by Pran Pandit the book narrates the stories of mass exodus of more than three hundred thousand Kashmiri Hindus, the minuscule religious minority of Kashmir, in the year 1990.
It seeks to acquaint the readers with the machinations and manouvres of the villains of peace, for causing destruction of human life and property in the peaceful valley of Kashmir, and coercing en masse departure of the locals from the land of their forebears.
Pertinent to mention here that Pran Pandit has served at various staff and field positions during his service with J&K Police.
