Poonch: A truck-driver was killed in a landslide at Mandi area of Poonch on Sunday, officials said.
They said that one Mohammad Tariq resident of Behalia Mandi was left trapped after a landslide hit the truck he was moving in, near Saklo Mandi area this afternoon. The police alongside locals after strenuous efforts for nearly an hour rescued the driver and evacuated him to SDH Mandi, they said, adding, that owing to the grievous injuries he succumbed at the health facility soon after.
Station House Officer (SHO) Mandi Bashir Kohli in the meantime also confirmed the death of the person in the particular incident. (GNS)
