Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested an accused person in Srinagar, who is allegedly involved in the commission of crime.
A police spokesman said, “On 16-06-2022, Police Station Bemina received a written application from one person resident of Khosa Mohalla Khumani Chowk stating therein that his daughter has been kidnapped by Tanveer Ahmad Dar, son of Muhammad Afzal Dar of Khumani Chowk Bemina. Accordingly, a case under FIR number 54/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated.”
During the course of investigation and with strenuous efforts of Police, the kidnapped girl was recovered and the said accused was also arrested from Zadibal area of Srinagar, police said, adding that after completion of all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.
