World’s 33% population not vaccinated against Covid: WHO

Copenhagen: More than 33 per cent of the world’s population has not yet received even the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19, Hans Kluge, the World Health Organization Regional Director for Europe, said on Thursday.

In the early stages of the vaccination campaign, access to vaccines was concentrated in high-income countries, and this disparity in vaccine availability is still felt around the world, Kluge added during a press conference at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
