‘Upgradation, macadamization to start soon’
Srinagar: Authorities in Roads and Buildings (R&B) division Kupwara on Monday said that the patching of the road in the area was done soon after the protest by the locals.
Residents of the area in a novel protest had planted paddy on the potholed road to attract the attention of authorities following which the Governor’s grievance cell sought report from the authorities concerned.
Executive Engineer, R&B division Kupwara in his report said that the patching of the road was done soon after the protest was lodged.
He, however, said that the road has been approved under current financial year for upgradation/macadamization.
“The execution process of the project will start shortly,” the officer said in his report.
