JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today appointed Retired IAS officer Satish Chandra as Chairman Public Service Commission (PSC) of Jammu and Kashmir.
He will hold post of the PSC Chairman till he attains the age of 62 years, an official order issued by Principal Secretary to Government Manoj Kumar Dwivedi said.
Chandra was an IAS officer of 1986 batch of Andhra Pradesh cadre. During his career he held various important assignments in Andra Pradesh. He hails from Rajasthan
Appointment of Chandra will take effect from the date he assumes office.
Post of the PSC Chairman had fallen vacant after completion of term of BR Sharma.
