ATS arrests Kishtwar youth for militant links

Jammu: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) from Maharashtra on Thursday arrested a youth for alleged militant links from Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources said the person was taken into custody for alleged links with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit and it was found during investigation that he was involved in wooing youths with money to join militant ranks. He was identified as Aftab.

“On his disclosure, an ATS team from Pune also raided Kashmir and then Jammu regions,” the sources said.

They said that Aftab, a resident of Patimahala in Kishtwar, was arrested for alleged militant links.

The ATS shifted the youth to Pune for further investigation.
