Srinagar: Around 12 projects of the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) for J&K are likely to be completed in the ongoing fiscal.
According to the latest status report of the PMDP, a copy of which is in possession of KNO, 12 projects of the mega development package are expected to be completed in 2022-23.
Of these 12 projects, four are being executed by central government agencies and eight by the government of Jammu & Kashmir.
The status report also reveals that 29 projects of the PMDP have completed/substantially completed till date.
The mega development package for the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the joint PDP- BJP rally on November 7, 2015 at SK Park, Srinagar.
The package comprises 63 projects with an outlay of Rs 80,068 crore.
Of them, 53 projects with an outlay of Rs 58,477 crore are in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and nine projects with an outlay of Rs 21,441 crore are in Ladakh UT.
