SSP Ganderbal visits Amarnath cave, reviews security arrangement

Srinagar:  Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar, along with officers, on Monday visited the holy cave shrine of Amarnath from the shortest Baltal route to review the security arrangements on the track. The 43-day Amarnath Yatra will commence from June 30 to August 11, 2022. The SSP visited Baltal Base camp, Domail and Holy Cave to review the security related arrangements en route Shri Amar Nath Ji Cave. During the visit to Holy Cave, the SSP inspected all routes leading to the Holy Cave for smooth Yatra and reviewed all other security arrangements for the safety of pilgrims. He took stock of en route deployment forces and other security measures, which would be put in place during the Yatra. SSP Borkar also took a detailed security review of Base camps at Baltal and Domail, besides other strategic locations and camping sites along the Yatra route. He reviewed the traffic management for smooth passage of Yatra convoys and availability of parking places.
