Proposal for completion of abandoned Khimber health center submitted for approval : CMO Srinagar 

Srinagar: Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Srinagar on Saturday said that the proposal for the abandoned health center at Khimber area of Srinagar has been submitted to the higher authorities for approval.

A delegation of locals had highlighted the issue of Abandoning of the health center in a section of press following which the higher authorities sought the report from CMO Srinagar.

The report submitted by the CMO said that the work on the sub-center was started in 2012 under state sector at the estimated cost of 20 lakh rupees which in 2017 was subsequently revised to the cost of 33.42 lakh rupees as communicated by the joint director planning.

The report, however, said that the work on the health center has been abandoned since many years for unknown reasons.

“The matter has been taken up with director health services and the proposal for  completion of the same has been submitted for administrative approval,” the CMO said.
