Srinagar: Public Health Engineering (PHE) authorities on Tuesday said that the tanker service will be made available for Batpora Zachaldara area of Kupwara to ensure that the people don’t suffer for want of drinking water.
Executive Engineer , PHE division, Handwara in a report submitted to higher ups said that Batpora Zachaldara is the last point of Zachaldara water supply scheme and the old existing scheme is not sufficient to cater the whole area.
“The whole area is reflected in JM. However as an interim measure wanter tanker service will be made available for the area,” the statement issued by the authorities said.
A section of print media had highlighted the shortage of drinking water in the area.
